Turn the other cheek

by The Dog

Dear humans,

I did not have a great day at the park today. Came across a bunch of barkers. Thing is I am an athletic dog. I like to chase, fetch, tug, be a flirt, but I hate being a bully.

Some dogs, on the other hand, love to bark. They come to the park to bow-bow. Which is quite alright with me. Cause I don’t respond. I just do my thing. I never get affected. I am the Laughing Buddha of the dog world.

But, God has a way of challenging me every day. And I take those challenges head-on. Today all the dogs that turned up at the park were barkers. Big dogs, small dogs, thin dogs, fat dogs—every one thought barking is the way.

I didn’t bark back. I never do. You know like Michelle Obama said, “when they go low, we go high!” So, that’s exactly what I did. I found the highest rock that none of the dogs could climb. And went and sat on it.
